The Right to Information Bill, 2005, as passed by the parliament, received the assent of the President on 15th June, 2005 following which `The Right to Information Act – 2005’ has been published in the Gazette of India. In order to implement the Act this Directorate has appointed Public Information Officers and Assistant Public Information Officers (to view click here). The information may be obtained from the respective PIO and APIO’s on payment of prescribed fees.
